Dunoon little girl needs your help in leukaemia battle
This is eight-year-old Aillidh Christine Kinnaird from Sandbank and she desperately needs your help to save her life.
Little Aillidh has Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, which affects only 20% of all those diagnosed with childhood leukaemia, and she urgently needs a stem cell/bone marrow transplant.
The Sandbank Primary pupil was diagnosed at the end of 2011 and has been in hospital ever since undergoing gruelling chemotherapy – her family spent Christmas Day with her at Yorkhill.
Unfortunately, all of Aillidh’s family have been tested for bone marrow compatibility, but none of them match.
You can help Aillidh by popping along to Queen’s Hall on Wednesday, January 25 and Thursday 26 where you can pick up information and application forms at the blood transfusion service station.
Alternatively, you can register to be a donor through the Anthony Nolan Trust website, which you can access here.
Anyone between 18 and 40 can register as a donor.
